What Are FX Options?
Forex Options enable investors to either buy (Call Option) or sell (Put Option) a currency pair at a specified price (strike price) on a specified date (the expiry date), but this is not obligatory. A premium is paid upfront to the Option seller to uphold this right to buy or sell the underlying asset, a decision based on the market conditions at the time the expiry date of the Option is reached. By trading Forex Options, it is possible for traders to make a profit as currency pairs move higher or lower.
Forex Options are traded OTC (Over the Counter) at Saxo Bank Dubai, enabling investors to choose the expiry date, strike price and amount, unlike the more restrictive exchange-traded Options that include set expiry dates and amounts. FX Options can be traded any time on the currency markets, possessing all the same benefits of Saxo Bank liquidity as its online FX Spot trading platform.
